2sc5200 has Vceo=230v, so it is more than sufficient for a +/- 33v.
however, with idle current at 1.2a, each transistor is dissipating 1.2ax33v=40w, that's approaching 1/3 of maximum dissipation for to3p package, and definitely too much for to220 package.
the SOA suggusts a maximum Ic=3a with Vce=30v.
so you better have some of the best heatsink for that.
My experience is that 56v is probably the maximum you can do with this topology running Class AB, and 40v running Class A.
so in your case, I would suggest that you run it at 33v (single supply rail) - since your output power is limited by idle current of 1.2a anyway. |
